Here we go. It’s day 2 and I have a full work day. Six and a half hours of massage. I woke up feeling pretty well and I had planned a decent breakfast the night before. This was also an early start day. Normally I would show up to work and about 2 hours in I would eat a protein bar. That isn’t an option on Whole30. So I started the day with 2 hard boiled eggs, apple slices, and almond butter. I did start to feel a little tired and achy but I was pleasantly surprised that my breakfast more than held me over.
By noon I was home for my lunch break. I
did not want to walk my dog but forced myself to. Each step felt difficult. In the past, there have definitely been days my legs felt tired and heavy, but they always loosened up after a block or two. Not this day. Every step felt hard. I wanted to cut the walk short but my poor Buddy was eager. I accomplished a mile. Back at home, I regretted not taking a day off of work.
Chicken and cauliflower for lunch. Then back to work for me. By the time I was finished my legs and low back were yelling at me, I came home and made Egg Roll in a Bowl for dinner. When Jared got home, he looked pretty tired. He said he felt sore and achy. I asked if it was from work and he just gave me a look. Obviously it was from the withdrawal symptoms. We kinda laughed about it.
I definitely felt hungrier today than yesterday. I did eat a snack. I know that “snacking” is not allowed on the whole30 and that instead I should have had a mini meal. But I did what I needed to do to be able to sleep comfortably.
I guess this is a good place to talk about why I am doing a round of Whole30. This will be my fourth round. I completed 2 rounds and did a third for around twenty days. I never took the time to properly reintroduce after my 2 completed rounds, and it has been years. In previous posts I have talked about my weight gain and things I have been doing to get to the root of that. Without any answers, I am looking for a possible food intolerance/allergy. Something that may be causing inflammation in my body. I am also hoping to start sleeping better, clear up some chicken skin I have going on, and basically just a reset for my healthy diet.
That’s all for tonight. I need sleep.
**I was so tired last night, that after writing this I forgot to click publish. Lets hope this morning goes better.
