I slept so good last night. I woke up ready to get out of bed (it was 9 am though) and ready to get the day started. We ate a quick breakfast, chicken apple sausage and eggs, and then walked Buddy. We knew we needed to get to the gym since we skipped yesterday. I decided to just do a treadmill run and incline walk. Cardio does burn quite a few calories, but strength training builds lean muscle that burns more fat while the body is at rest. I have been struggling with wanting to do strength training because I am already feeling so “thick”.
After the gym, we grabbed a few groceries and headed home to eat some lunch. I told my husband to just shove everything in the fridge and that I would organize the fridge after we ate. He is always saying we don’t have any room, but he never pushes things all the way back. So much unused space. I know this is one of his “things” so I just tell him that I will organize the fridge. And lo and behold when I am done, there is not only enough room for what we bought, but there is even extra room. Does this happen to anyone else?
After lunch, I got to work, organizing the fridge and cutting and prepping fruits and veggies to make for easy grabbing. I washed laundry, soooo mch laundry. I finished the work laundry, washed all the bedding, washed the dogs bedding, and all the couch blankets that Buddy and Jared use. I also decided that it was a perfect day to wash the house. We set everything up and started spraying the built up gunk off the house little by little. Owning a home, there is always something to do.
Back in the house to do dishes and sweep. The housework is NEVER done. NEVER. I sweep and then two minutes later I swear I have to sweep again. It doesn’t help matters any that Buddy is a little neurotic. If I sweep up his dog food on the floor, he promptly goes over and drops more on the floor. He can’t stand a clean floor. I think he just likes to see the exasperated look on my face as he does it. This is also why I no longer buy him stuffy toys that he can tear apart. My floor used to look like a giant cloud, toy fluff everywhere.
I am pretty sure today was Tiger’s Blood. That endless clean energy, never feeling the need to sit down. I will say, it is one of my favorite parts of doing a Whole30. Day 17 is not day 30 though, and the other things I am hoping to get relief from are still persisting. My weight, I can tell I have gained. My skin is still doing the chicken skin thing, in fact, it may even be worse. I have some minor joint aches that have cleared up. My shoulder is still giving me grief...so maybe I should get that looked at.
Basically, today was another day on plan, and another day of me still feeling like something is off with my body. I love the energy I have, but something is still off. Maybe I'll feel better by day 30.
