Whole30 Day 3: My Butt Hurts...Why?

I had to wake up super early again. Probably wasn’t the best week to start…but honestly, next week wouldn’t be better. And the week after that is just as busy. There’s never gonna be a perfect time. So if you’re thinking about doing it….just do it.

 I worked in the morning and then came home. The usual agenda is me getting home, my husband and I will eat something, then walk the dog while our food digests, and then go to the gym. Today….was different. My husband was so tired. I was tired. My legs felt less heavy but my glutes were so sore. Like…I was only comfortable if I was moving. I couldn’t sit or lay without my ass cheeks putting me in the death grip . So uncomfortable.

 

We did manage to get the dog walked. We went way further than I wanted to. As soon as we got home I tried to get comfortable in the recliner. The discomfort was intense. I inhaled a bowl of pineapple …because bromelain for the inflammation. Then I fell asleep in the recliner.

 

I woke up to my dog barking at me like crazy. The neighbor was outside and he wanted to go play with his dogs. I looked over and noticed my husband, asleep sitting up on the couch, in true middle aged fashion. At this point it was unspoken that we would not be going to the gym today.

 

We ate dinner and took Buddy for a second walk. Then dropped him off at home and went a little farther. Two miles total. We felt we needed to get a little movement in because that’s just what our bodies are used to. A quarter mile from home I thought about getting an Uber.

 

We survived the walk and it’s definitely time for a shower and bed. The discomfort in my glutes has me needing to sleep. Plus, tomorrow I have a session with a trainer and I am not looking forward to it. Good night!
